Welcome to the SIB 2019 60th Congress | Lecce
It is my great pleasure to warmly invite you to the 60th Congress of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular
Biology (SIB) that will be held in Lecce from the 18th to 20th of September 2019 in collaboration with the University of
The SIB Congress is a major endeavour of SIB to provide a platform for scientific exchanges at international level and for presenting the cutting edge researches in the field of biochemistry and related areas.
The Congress opening lecture will be given by the keynote speaker Prof. John Walker (Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 1997).
Contributions from outstanding Italian and foreign scientists will be presented in plenary symposia; the state-of-the art
researches in the emerging topics of biochemistry will be also presented in parallel symposia. Poster contributions will be chosen for oral Short talks in parallel Mini-symposia that will be organized together with a dedicated poster session.
SIB will encourage participation of a large number of young scientists by supporting costs for Congress participation at
reduced registration fees.
We hope that you will contribute and attend the 60th Congress and look forward to meeting you in Lecce to explore this
fascinating area of Salento region, unique for the splendour and elegance of its own style of Baroque architecture.
